University of Helsinki
Founded in 1640, the University of Helsinki is Finland’s oldest and largest higher education institution, with over 32,000 students. Originally established as the Royal Academy of Turku, it relocated to Helsinki in 1829. The university boasts 11 faculties and 11 research institutes, offering programs in Finnish, Swedish, and English. Aalto University

University of Turku

University of Jyväskylä
The University of Jyväskylä, established in 1934, traces its roots back to Finland’s first Finnish-speaking teacher training college, founded in 1863. Ranked among the world’s top 500 universities, it serves around 15,000 students across six faculties. The university is particularly renowned for its education programs and consistently ranks among the top 100 universities globally in the field of education and training.
University of Eastern Finland
Formed in 2010 through the merger of the University of Joensuu and the University of Kuopio, the University of Eastern Finland (UEF) ranks 535th in the world. With over 15,000 students across four faculties, UEF has a strong reputation for research and international collaboration. Its main campuses are located in Joensuu and Kuopio, with additional facilities in Savonlinna.
