From April, TUI Poland will offer a charter flight between Warsaw and Jerez airport
The connection will begin on April 18 and will run until October 17.
The Minister for Tourism and Foreign Affairs of Andalusia, Arturo Bernal, has assessed this Monday the new air route that the operator TUI Poland will offer, connecting Warsaw with the airport of Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz) with a charter flight that will begin operating in April. It will be a weekly charter flight operated by the company Enter Air in collaboration with TUI Poland, offering 189 seats per journey.
The connection between the Polish capital and Jerez airport will operate during the summer season, starting on April 18 and extending until October 17, as reported by the Andalusian Government in a statement.
Bernal stressed that this connection, which will add some 5,000 seats to the Andalusian community during the next summer season, "will allow the province of Cadiz to strengthen its position as a destination in the growing Polish market."
In this regard, he pointed out that Poland as an issuer was the origin of 19,210 travellers staying in hotels in Cadiz during the past year 2024, 3.4% more than in the previous year. These visitors spent 44,340 nights in the province, which represents a 17.7% increase.
He also valued the fact that the operator's commitment to Jerez infrastructure "is accompanied by the presence of the province and Cadiz hotel establishments in its catalogues", a fact that "will multiply the marketing of the destination among its clients".
The community will be present at the TUI Poland convention that the intermediary will hold on February 21, a meeting in which a workshop will be held with the participation of promotional entities of the destination and Andalusian companies.
The fourth vice-president and provincial deputy for Tourism, Germán Beardo, has applauded the launch of this new air connection with the province of Cádiz, considering it to be "great news" that "will contribute to the arrival of more tourists to the province from an emerging market such as Poland."
"At the Provincial Tourism Board we are working to achieve opportunities such as this one presented by the Jerez-Warsaw air connection, and we will continue along this line to achieve increasingly sustainable tourism, focused on quality and the generation of opportunities for our land," said Beardo.
For her part, the mayor of the city, María José García-Pelayo, has assured that this new airline "boosts Jerez airport thanks to the work carried out by the Junta de Andalucía in the Andalusian Air Connectivity Board", in which the Jerez City Council is present and in which its municipal government "will continue working to achieve the maximum possible performance of the Jerez airport".
The Cadiz Tourist Board and Tourism of Andalusia have been working in the Polish market together with Turespaña for more than 15 years, also participating in various actions proposed by the Spanish Tourist Office in Poland. The new route is, therefore, "a consequence of the constant work" on this market that has been carried out by the three administrations.
In 2007, almost 300 Polish travel agents, operators and institutional representatives visited the province as part of the National Congress of the Polish Chamber of Tourism (PIT), invited by the Board of Trustees, the Regional Government and Turespaña.
